I have to admit, this song is one of my personal favorites. It's part of an album called August (currently in progress) that tells the story of a woman who struggles to leave an abusive relationship and, once she leaves, has to deal with the aftermath. Anomaly is the climax of her story: she finally summons up her courage and runs away in the hopes of finding a better life, finally taking the "dive" that she had been so scared of.

Things end happily for her eventually, but I know it isn't as easy to leave or find help in real life. If you or anyone you know is in an abusive situation like this, please, please reach out to people, officials, or organizations (some of which I've linked below) who can help you.
